Sandhya Kumar

Hi, I'm Sandhya - a storyteller and strategic communicator passionate about helping organizations communicate with clarity, empathy, and purpose. I believe the most powerful narratives are the ones that make complex ideas accessible, meaningful, and human.

I have supported communications work across global technology, consumer, and mission-driven organizations, including DigiKey, Ben & Jerry's, and clients spanning financial services and public affairs. Across these experiences, I have contributed to internal communications, executive messaging, campaign strategy, editorial planning, and cross-functional storytelling initiatives. Whether I'm shaping internal content, developing campaign narratives, translating technical concepts into audience-centered messaging, or building communication systems that improve understanding and alignment, I enjoy creating work that is thoughtful, intentional, and grounded in audience insight.

Originally from Chennai, India, and now based in the United States, I bring a global academic and professional perspective to my work. As someone who has lived, learned, and worked across two cultures, I value diverse viewpoints and collaborative storytelling. My background in journalism, psychology, and English literature continues to shape how I approach communications—with curiosity, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the people behind every message.

Alongside my communications work, I am increasingly drawn to the intersection of storytelling, technology, and product marketing. I am particularly interested in AI-assisted communication, messaging systems, and how research and audience insight can shape compelling product narratives and experiences. I thrive at the intersection of strategic messaging and creative problem-solving, and I am excited by opportunities to drive engagement, adoption, and business impact through clear, customer-centered communication.
